Minister Mai says the increase in poultry prices was justified

Consumers have been paying an average of ten cents more per pound of wholesale chicken since Monday. The increase was announced last Friday and is attributed to local grain and poultry processing increases. The issue has not sat right with Belizeans, with many questioning whether the increase was necessary. Today, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Jose Mai, was asked about it.
