Minister of Education Welcomes New BNTU President, Nadia Caliz-Martin

Minister of Education, Francis Fonseca, has welcomed the recent election of a new president for the Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU).  Nadia Caliz-Martin was successful in last week’s election.  While Caliz-Martin is yet to make a media statement following her victory, Minister Fonseca says the ministry is prepared to work with the union. 

At the close of counting, Caliz-Martin received 445 votes compared to the 115 votes for Efunyemi.
