Minister of Youth says there is a need for Belizeans studying abroad to return home after their studies

Minister of Youth Rodwell Ferguson says there is a need to encourage Belizean students abroad to return home. Ferguson recently visited the Republic of China (Taiwan) and met with a few young Belizeans studying in the island nation. In August, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eamon Courtney noted that Belize’s best and brightest are receiving Taiwanese scholarships but are not returning home. Courtney stated that GOB is trying to work with the Taiwanese government to combat this problem. In an interview with Love News, Ferguson weighed in on the phenomenon and the feedback he got from the students when asked about returning home.
