Ministry of Education Employee Charged with Damage to Property After Domestic Dispute

Ministry of Education employee, Hubert Paquil was charged with damage to property following a domestic dispute with his common law wife. Allegations are that on Saturday, Paquil and his common law wife got into a domestic dispute which led to him damaging items in their household. The items include a television, a night light and a glass decoration all totaling about $1,000. The common law wife added that at the time, Paquil threatened to burn the house down which is when she contacted the police. In court, Paquil denied the allegations. The Magistrate offered bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one surety of the same amount with conditions. He is due back in court on March 1.
