Ministry of Health and Wellness received medical supplies from the Diaspora

The Ministry of Health and Wellness this morning several pieces of medical supplies, thanks to efforts by the Belizean diaspora in the United States. The donation included 150,000 face masks and other supplies from Build Belize Incorporated and sourced in part from the Global Trust Group and the Sigler Foundation. Ambassador for Diaspora Relations, Sandhya Murphy spoke to Love News about why partnerships like this are important.

Robert Sigler’s family runs the Sigler Foundation, which is related to the Global Trust Group. He told us today that the organisation is looking at other ways how they can help Belize and Belizeans.

The Nurses Association of Belize is also one of the groups to receive some of those KN-95 masks.
