Ministry of Health Announces New COVID-19 Regulations

Tonight the curfew goes back to 9pm to 4am and there has been no announcement of another No-Movement Sunday in the near future. The Ministry of Health and Wellness today announced the decision, a day after Belize endured its second no-movement Sunday yesterday. While the curfew goes back to nine o’clock, it’s still not allowing contact sports or church services to resume. Similarly, casinos and gambling houses are also closed for the time being. As it relates to restaurants, saloons, diners and other similar establishments, they are currently allowed to offer in-dining services, but only by reservations and can only seat up to half its capacity. Patrons in this case must be fully vaccinated. For those restaurants that have proper ventilation or are open-air, outdoor or al fresco restaurants can operate, again only by reservation, and can seat up to seventy-five percent capacity but only with fully vaccinated customers.
