The new total of active cases now stands at 193. These are those persons who have been confirmed and are within the time frame to transmit the virus. To date 78,394 samples have been tested nationally. Out of this 12,188 samples have resulted positive for COVID-19. A total of 313 deaths have been reported but we are pleased to report that there are 11,682 total recoveries. The heat map shows the districts mostly affected. The greatest number of cases are seen in Cayo, Belize and Stann Creek districts. Cayo reported six new cases with Ontario responsible for two of those cases. Belize district reported four new cases with Belize City responsible for all four cases. Stann Creek district reported two new cases with Dangriga and Independence responsible for one case each. Toledo reported one new case. Corozal and Orange Walk districts reported no new cases.“
