Ministry of Health Grants Licenses to Ten New Pharmacists in Belize

This week, ten new pharmacists received licenses from the Ministry of Health and Wellness. The ministry held an official swearing-in ceremony for the group in Belmopan on Thursday. Samira Gongora, Technical Advisor in the Office of the Chief Pharmacist, explained that the health sector has been suffering from a shortage of pharmacists while seeing an increase in businesses selling pharmaceuticals.

The group is the second cohort to graduate from the Bachelor’s Degree program offered by the University of Belize.
