Dr.Natalia Largaespada Beer, Maternal and Child Health Technical Advisor, Ministry of Health and Wellness: “Healthcare workers we have 97.1% are persons. For persons above 60 years 71.5%, for teachers 76%. For customs above 100%. For tourism sector above 100% so probably we get lower number than what is real number.”
Reporter: Can you repeat the number for police officers ?
Dr.Natalia Largaespada Beer, Maternal and Child Health Technical Advisor, Ministry of Health and Wellness: “59.1%. We know who is unvaccinated and who is vaccinated and so far the majority are persons unvaccinated that are being admitted due to COVID19. We don’t have anything seeking to mandating children to get vaccinated before entering school. It will have to depend on the information that parents receive and their informed consent. I tend to defer from the forcing if you look at the public health aspect of COVID19 and the transmission person to person so if you are going to be exposed in an area that you have a greater risk of getting infected then that is where the vaccines come in play conferring protection.”
