Ministry of Infrastructure Development outlines traffic plan while work on Roaring Creek Bridge continues

A short-term traffic management plan is now in place for motorists, who traverse in the area near the Roaring Creek Bridge, just outside the capital Belmopan. The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing has announced the plan, which outlines how vehicles – regardless of size – will go in and out of the area. If you’re travelling west towards Camalote, you’re to use the Old Roaring Creek Bridge, but it will be limited to small and light vehicles only. Heavy vehicles such as buses, trucks, and containers will be managed on the new bridge with the help of site flaggers. If you’re going east into Belmopan, you’re to use the new bridge. The Ministry adds that traffic signs reflecting these temporary changes will be placed on both ends of the area under construction.
