Ministry warns of works on the Haulover bridge

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development & Housing asks drivers to be cautious on the Philip Goldson Highway this weekend. The Ministry will be transferring six 100-foot-long hefty bridge beams from Ladyville to the northern approach of the Haulover Bridge. It is part of the Haulover Bridge Replacement Project to improve infrastructure in Belize. To avoid any casualties, they advise the public to be careful around this equipment when transported to their destination. These beams are extremely heavy and cover the entire highway, so follow the traffic warnings and instructions of escorts on April 15 and 16. The Ministry also is thankful for the public respecting and abiding by safety precautions when encountering heavy equipment on the highway.
