The family of missing teenager, Michael Cobo, is currently at the Belize Medical College preparing to confirm if a body found floating in the Caribbean Sea this morning is their missing son.  The 18-year-old young man had gone missing on Friday, November 29 when he came to Belize City for a party that never happened.

Love News spoke to his mother, Margarita Chi, via telephone late this evening.

The body was spotted in the Caribbean Sea near the pier at the Port of Belize Limited just after ten o’clock this morning.  Reports indicate that a group of workmen were in the area when they made the discovery.  The body was wrapped up in a sheet and tied with barbed wire and anchored with four cement blocks.  Love News understands that the decomposed body showed injuries to the head and had its hands tied behind the back. While it is speculated that the body is that of the missing teenager, Love News is waiting for an official confirmation from the family or the authorities.
