MOHW Says Don’t Test too Early

While capturing new infections is attributed the Ministry of Health’s efforts to get people tested, it is advising the public to not get tested too early. The Ministry notes that persons who have come in contact with a COVID-positive person should get tested three to four days after. Deputy Director of the Central Health Region, Doctor Melissa Diaz Musa says the wait time is recommended to ensure an accurate result when testing.

Doctor Diaz also spoke about the accuracy of results when using rapid antigen tests, given that the public has been skeptical about the results those tests produce.
