Monkey River is a small village in the Toledo District located sixty eight miles from Punta Gorda Town. Its population tallies to less than two hundred and has been dubbed as a sleepy coastal paradise. Despite its beauty the villagers are in danger of having their properties washed away due to erosion. Reporter Courtney Menzies travelled down south to get a first hand view of what it’s really like on the ground.
