Mother and Children’s Terrifying Ordeal: Diesel Attack by Estranged Boyfriend Sparks Fear and Legal Struggle

A mother of three is living in fear and uncertainty after her estranged boyfriend doused the bed, she and her children were sleeping on, with diesel.  25-year-old, Ashlie Ruiz, says she has been seeking a restraining order and the Police in San Ignacio have been dragging their feet in issuing the court summons to her ex-boyfriend.  Ruiz says the incident stemmed from the boyfriend getting a fortune teller reading that told him that she was cheating on him.

The ordeal occurred on July 27, and while Ruiz and her three children were lucky to escape physical injuries, she wants the Police to serve the summons to her ex so he can stop looking for her and sending messages to her.  According to Ruiz, she has informed the San Ignacio Police of where the man is staying, but still, the summons has not been served.

Ruiz says she has been to the Police station and the courthouse on multiple occasions to see the matter through.  We did call the Commanding Officer at the San Ignacio Police Station, but our calls went unanswered.  Our newsroom will keep following this story.
