36-year-old, William Mulligan, a resort owner of San Pedro, was arraigned on four-gun related offenses yesterday and today he was given bail.  This morning before Justice Herbert Lord in the Supreme Court, his attorney Ellis Arnold was able to secure bail for him in the sum of $8,000 plus two sureties of $4,000 each.  The conditions of his bail are that he is to report to the San Pedro Police Station every Friday and he is not to interfere with any of the prosecution witnesses while the matter is before the court. Yesterday, Mulligan appeared before Senior Magistrate, Aretha Ford where he was read four counts, two counts of kept firearm without a gun license and two counts of kept ammunitions without being granted a gun license by the Commissioner of Police. Mulligan who pleaded not guilty to the charges, told the court that when he went to register the gun, he was told that the guns in questions are license under someone else’s name. He added that the system is very dysfunctional. Allegations are that on Monday, July 29, he kept, a black 9 mm Hecker Ketch brand with serial number firearm and a black gauge shot gun with serial number along with 15-9 mm live rounds of ammunitions and 2- Remington 12-gauge live cartridges. Mulligan’s next court date is set for October 23, 2019.
