Murder Charge Dropped: David Arnold Walks Free in DJ Hard Rock Case
David Arnold, who was charged for the 2017 murder of Andrew Bennett, popularly known as DJ Hard Rock, is a free man. Arnold walked from his murder charge today after the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions entered a nolle prosequi, essentially abandoning the case against him. Love News has confirmed that the prosecution’s key witness in the trial could not be found despite various efforts made to locate him. With that Arnold, who has been on remand at the Belize Central Prison for over six years, was told he could go home. Arnold appeared before Justice Ricardo O’Neil Sandcroft in the High Court. The victim, Bennett, was shot multiple times at a bus shed near his home on Central American Boulevard in May 2017 and died on the spot.
