Museum of Belize Unveils Premier George Cadle Price’s Pre-Independence Speeches

After making its way south of the Jewel, the Let Belize Live: Speeches of the Premier is in Belize City. Today, the Museum of Belize unveiled a collection of pre-independence speeches written by the Right Honourable George Cadle Price. It is the fourth launch of the traveling exhibition that celebrates Belize’s independence and highlights Price’s role in the movement. Price led the nation to independence in 1981 and is considered the “Father of the Nation.” Minister of Education and Culture Francis Fonseca explained that the September celebrations we know, and love would not have been possible without the Premier’s passion and love for his country.

The exhibit will be on display for two weeks and is free of charge.
