NAB President Says Belizeans are Still Getting their Covid-19 Shot

The Ministry of Health and Wellness continues to encourage the public to get their Covid-19 vaccination shots. Currently, 50.8 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated. While stringent vaccination requirements have been relaxed over the past several months, the President of the Nurses Association of Belize, Renita Pop, says that they are still getting a number of persons going to receive their shots.

Renita Pop, President, Nurses’ Association of Belize: “I personally don’t work in the area where they vaccinate but I do believe there are still patients or people from the community who are still taking interest to go ahead and get vaccinated. I don’t want to say that the persons who have gone to get vaccinated has decreased, I think yes it may have decreased but there are still people who are taking the vaccine at this point.”
