New Belmopan Mural Encourages Youth Sports Participation

A mural encouraging youths to participate in sports was unveiled in Belmopan earlier today. The mural, erected in front of the Isidoro Beaton stadium, was a collaborative effort between the National Sports Council, Belmopan City Council, and other partners. The partner organizations banded together to encourage positive outlets through sports, particularly at a time when students will be out of school on Easter break.  Angie Reyes, Sports Coordinator, says that promoting sports not only helps to develop young people wholistically but also fosters the development of communities.

Reyes says that there are several sports camps being held in various sports disciplines for youths to engage in while they are out of school.
