New Department of Environment Office Opens in San Pedro Town

A new office for the Department of the Environment was opened today in San Pedro Town.  With the fast growing island of hotels and tourist attractions, Chief Environmental Officer, Anthony Mai, says the office was overdue.  He noted that a presence on the island will improve the monitoring aspects of the department.

Mai also explained that the department will also seek to bring public awareness to the island.
