New grassroots movement plans to fight for change

Newly formed grassroots movement Moving Ahead Together or MAT hosted a weekend event in Belize City. The group is being led by former Senator and journalist and now attorney-at-law, Audrey Matura. The purpose of the Saturday event is to have Belizeans involved in the rebuilding of the country through positive change, education, and empowerment. Is it a political party in the making? Dale McDougall and Scott Tillett attended the launch and filed this report.

Other speakers at the event included Maya rights activist, Christina Coc; land rights activist, Nigel Petillo and Pastor Louis Wade.
