Apart from the State of Emergency implemented on Ambergris Caye, the National Oversight Committee implemented new measures after their meeting held today.  The first is that all bars, clubs, lounges, and casinos countrywide will be closed.

Apart from the State of Emergency implemented on Ambergris Caye, the National Oversight Committee implemented new measures after their meeting held today.  The first is that all bars, clubs, lounges, and casinos countrywide will be closed. Additionally, effective Wednesday, restaurants will be closed for dining-in and only take-out services will be allowed. A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday as well to present economic relief measures in order to ease the burden on Belizeans who are being affected by this crisis. GOB continues to remind Belizeans to practice social distancing by staying home and avoiding large crowds; washing hand regularly with soap and running water for 20 seconds; practice good cough and sneeze etiquette; disinfecting common surfaces; and to seek medical attention if you are experiencing fever, cough or difficulty breathing.
