There’s a new political party in town, and they’re gunning for City Hall. The People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) is being led by businessman, Estevan Perera Sr. The group is newly formed, and has identified itself as a grassroots movement, representing the working man and woman. The party has put together a slate, of sorts, for the upcoming municipal elections. The BDM was launched this morning, via a press brief, where the rationale behind its formation was explained, as well as the introduction of the persons they hope will be the next Belize City Council. The party’s mayoral candidate, Estevan Perrera Sr., explained that the endeavor was born from the need for change.
Perera believes the PDM is a viable option and says that the group has already put together a list of changes it would implement once elected to office.
The PDM slate is comprised of Estevan Perera as the mayoral candidate, and the council candidates, Francisco Rosalez, Marcella Meighan, Jeff Flowers, Russel August, Mark Burgess, Itamar Mis, Jose Espat, Ashton Gordon, Phillip Henry, and Wayne Joseph.
