It has been a little over two weeks since the newly appointed Taiwanese Ambassador to Belize, Lily Li-Wen Hsu (Shoo) started her tenure in Belize. Belize recently celebrated thirty-three years of bilateral relations, and Hsu is the successor of the former Ambassador, David Kuan Chou-Chien, who was in Belize for the past two years. Hsu says that so far she is moved by the amicable relationship that the two countries have been able to forge over the years and is impressed by the amount of support that the Taiwanese government has offered to Belize. She adds that she is looking forward to fortifying this relationship during her tenure.
Lily Li-Wen Hsu, Taiwanese Ambassador to Belize: “This is beautiful country full of natural beauty an the people are very as I just mentioned God fearing and God loving people. So I believe with such kind of nature and being blessed this country has a lot of potential to develop and I’m very happy to witness already a lot of the achievements that Taiwan has been partnered with Belize. So I’d love to see more of such kind of partnership developed and I think across the board we have already seen many kinds of cooperation in different fields. I look forward to more fruitful results. It’s also good to mix the pleasure and work together because when I visit different projects I witness different achievements along the way I also had the opportunity to see this beautiful landscape and meet different people so I’m very happy so far for this new tour. I look forward to it.”
