Newly found speeches of Belize’s first Premier displayed in a new exhibit

On Monday, January 16, for the second time in Belize’s history, the nation will be celebrating George Price Day. The holiday was set aside by the Briceno Administration in 2020 to commemorate the legacy of Belize’s first Premier, the Right Honorable George Cadle Price. Price is regarded as the father of the nation for the fundamental role he played in Belize’s road to independence. And, to celebrate what would have been his 104th birthday, today the government opened an exhibition dedicated to newly found speeches left behind by Price. Vejea Alvarez tells us more.
