Nian Rosado and Luis Valdez Make History at Pan American Billiards Championship

Billiards players Nian Rosado and Luis Valdez have made history by becoming the first Belizeans to make it to the Round of 32 in the Pan American Billiards Championship. Rosado and Valdez, representing the country through the Belize Billiards Sporting League (BBSL), are competing in the nine-ball division and have distinguished themselves among the best billiards players in the region. They secured their spots with clinch victories last night over players from Curacao and Honduras. President of the BBSL says that Rosado and Valdez have put on performances that have people from across the region talking.

Valdez and Rosado also spoke with us today about what competing in the largest billiards tournament in Latin America means to them.

The tournament is still ongoing at this time; we’ll have the final results for you in tomorrow’s news
