Nigy Boy Announces Donation to Stella Maris School at Belize Soca Festival

This past Friday at the 10th Annual Belize Soca and Culture Festival, Nigel Hector better known as “Nigy Boy” announced that he would be making a monetary donation to Stella Maris School.  His inspiration came after a visit to the school earlier in the day.  Nigy Boy who is visually impaired collaborated with the festival’s co-founder, Omar Arzu.  Our newsroom met up with Arzu this afternoon on the Stella Maris compound.

The donation came as a surprise and was received by principal, Francelia Canton, who praised the artist’s generosity but also the donation’s ability to help fund the different on campus programs.

Our newsroom has come to understand that this donation is just one of several ideas the artist has expressed interest in for Belize.
