Norwegian Cruises donates to post-Hurricane Lisa recovery in Belize

Norwegian Cruises Line Holdings (NCL) has contributed 100,000 U.S. dollars to Belize’s post-hurricane recovery efforts. This is according to the Caribbean Consular Corp based in Miami, Florida. This donation comes about two weeks after Hurricane Lisa made landfall in Belize on November 2. Honorary Consul, Janine Sylvestre-Vega was quoted as saying that this money will “go a long way in assisting the many Belizeans who have suffered great losses after Hurricane Lisa hit Belize.” The donation by NCL is an initiative through the Caribbean Consular Corp and the Consulate of Belize in Florida. It is also seen as the cruise line’s continued commitment to Belize, a popular port call for NCL.
