Oceana’s Petition Verification Moves to Attorney General’s Office

Yesterday, we told you of Oceana’s appeal to the government to have the over twenty two thousand petitions signatures verified.  The organization’s appeal was to the Elections and Boundaries Department, but after following up on the story, Love News found that the matter is now in the hands of the Attorney General.  While both parties were reluctant to give any details on the where the situation currently stands, our newsroom was able to confirm that the government had sought legal advice from the Attorney General who is now in communication with Oceana.  The basis or grounds for the legal advice sought is yet to be confirmed.  We will keep following this story.
