The official statistics have been released on the performance of the 2017 National Agriculture and Trade Show which occurred this past weekend. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, there were thirty seven thousand one hundred and forty three attendees. This figure reflects an increase of just over eight percent when compared to 2016. The attendance on Saturday was the lower of the two days with just over fifteen thousand visitors. On the financial aspect of the event, there was a revenue increase of about twelve thousand dollars with a reported gross income for 2017 being two hundred and eighty four thousand dollars. According to the release, this year’s show saw an increase in the agriculture oriented exhibitors as well as new and emerging businesses. This year marked the 47th National Agriculture and Trade Show which went without incidents of crime or violence. The 48th show is tentatively set for April 27, 28 and 29, 2018. This year’s theme was, “Let’s Get Growing”.
