And speaking of social media, a woman has gone viral for a series of videos in which she accused no other than the Police Commissioner himself of trying to get her fired. Sabas Williams, who says she’s also a member of the force, got visibly upset over comments Commissioner Williams made in a public forum. In the expletive-laced outburst, which has been shared several times across online platforms, the woman criticises the commissioner for making statements, words which she says are untrue. The Commissioner has so far remained mum on the situation but the media asked Senior Superintendent Calbert Flowers about the issue today.
Sr. Supt. Calbert Flowers: Commander, Professional Standards Branch: “The other female officer is a female officer attached to the Corozal Police Station, Sabas Williams. Again, Sabas Williams will be dealt with disciplinary. Her matter is under investigation. We have several videos that were taken from off social media in relation to Sabas Williams. So, again, she will be served with a notice of complaint and she will be requested to submit an explanation after which charges will be levied against her and she will be facing a disciplinary tribunal. Sabas Williams has since been placed on suspension because of these continuous videos. The investigation is on and we see a number of charges that may be levelled against her. There is definitely, like you mentioned, more than one breach of discipline that she did and we are focussing on, of course, the breach of social media policy and other infractions that she may have committed on those videos, on those lives.”
