Opposition Accuses PM Briceno of Concealing Legal Opinion on Definitive Agreement

While Prime Minister John Briceno has stated that he believes digging into the Portico “Difinative Agreement” is flogging a dead horse, the opposition says he is lying to the Belizean people. Opposition Senator, Michael Peyrefitte told the media today that he doesn’t buy the Prime Minister’s explanation as to why Juratowich’s advice was not considered. He says that he believes that the government intentionally swept the legal opinion under the rug to push forward with the agreement.
