Opposition Leader Barrow: CEO Allowance Issue Reflects Briceno Administration Collapse

One Member of Parliament who has taken the CEO allowance and its rescindment to another level was the Leader of the Opposition.  According to Moses Shyne Barrow, the entire situation is a reflection of the collapsing of the Briceno administration.

Moses “Shyne” Barrow, Leader of the Opposition: “It is indicative of a government that is on the brink of complete collapse. Indicative of a government that is extremely tone deaf and disconnected. I don’t know if there’s a medium in being tone deaf so just tone deaf and completely disconnected from the fact that they even went there. So I think this government has spent all of its capital and they have no room to not listen when the unions and the stakeholders such as the United Democratic Party and churches and NGOs speak and so I think this is a telling moment and so all of the stakeholders need to continue to speak. Because while rescinding that ill advised, tone deaf increase in allowances which according to your intelligence was just to satisfy the hunger and thirst of the Cabinet Secretary, to satisfy his ego and his pride so that he could compete with the Office of the Prime Minister’s CEO it still does not solve the issues that are still plaguing the BNTU and other public officers as far as the increments that they’re supposed to get paid and all of the other outstanding commitments that the People’s United Party government has made.”
