Over one hundred cases of COVID-19 reported over the weekend

Another Covid-19 related death was recorded over the weekend bringing the total to thirty-seven. The patient was a female in her late 60’s from Orange walk who had been hospitalized at KHMH’s Intensive Care Unit. (COVID DEATH VO STARTS) In the infographics for yesterday the Office of the Director of Health Services has reported thirty-eight new cases out of one hundred and seventy-three samples taken. The 38 cases are spread across the country with one in Cowpen Village, Stann Creek District; one in Orange Walk Town and another in August Pine Ridge, Orange Walk District. Eleven cases were identified in the Belize District with five in the city, two in Ladyville, two in Lord’s Bank and two on Ambergris Caye. Ten were identified in the Corozal District and fourteen in the Cayo District. The ministry has also reported the recovery of 18 patients. To date the Ministry of Health has conducted 17,836 tests with 2,569 turning out positive. //////
