Over two hundred men and women will add to the thousands who have become unemployed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.  The layoff is reportedly being done at Tropic Air who currently has an estimated four hundred persons employed.  Reports indicate that for the last two months the company has retained all its staff at reduced salaries, but they can no longer sustain this exercise.  Love News understands that two hundred and twenty persons will be laid off and will all be paid money owed to them.  Tropic Air plans to gradually rehire those being laid off as soon as the economy begins to rebound and their finances improve.  Our newsroom tried reaching the management of Tropic Air for comment but we were told that they are in all-day meeting with their legal advisors and senior management.
