Paul Mahung to Receive Award at 2024 Tribute to Belizean Patriots

The 2024 Tribute to Belizean Patriots will be held at the foot of the Haulover Bridge come September 12.  One of the awardees this year is our Senior Correspondent Paul Mahung.  The 74-year-old media veteran has been working in the industry since 1974 and continues to this day.  Mahung is a 74-year-old native of Punta Gorda Town and has served for decades in various capacities and sectors.  In 1981, he served as the town’s mayor for one term.  He has also served as the very first president for the Toledo Chapters of the Belize Red Cross, the Rotary Club and the Lion’s Club.  Incidentally, this year, Mahung is celebrating 50 years in media and 45 years as a volunteer in the military.  This award will be his second as in 1988 he was given the OBE Queen’s Award for service in education and community service.  Love FM will carry the event live on Love FM and Love Television.
