People’s Constitution Commission Continues Nationwide Campaign for Constitutional Reform

The People’s Constitution Commission (PCC) continues to engage Belizeans countrywide on their constitutional rights and the process of reforming the laws of the land. The body is gathering varying opinions from all sectors of society and will present a list of recommendations and their findings from the consultation process to the government. The body has been making public presentations in the various municipalities, and last night they were in Belmopan. Cayo Correspondent Fem Cruz spoke to PCC Chairman Anthony Chanona about the campaign and its goals.

Cruz also spoke to Director of Public Prosecutions Cheryl-Lyn Vidal, who explained that she was asked to take part in the presentation and explain her role in the judiciary.

The group says it has almost wrapped up its country-wide tour.
