Today, the opening ceremony for the Placencia Lobster Fest will be held kicking off a weekend of activities. The event is returning after a two-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lobster fest is expected to generate much-needed economic activity for local vendors and fishers who will be participating in the event. Yesterday the village’s Chairman, Warren Garbutt, spoke to Stann Creek Correspondent Harry Arzu about what can be expected
Garbutt also explained how beneficial the profits of this event are to the village’s council in carrying out its duties for the year.
