PM Addresses Need for Improved Domestic Flights at ICAO Event

While the government wants to increase the number of international flights, it is aware of the need to improve local domestic flights. The country only has two airlines with a handful of flights that mostly cater to international visitors. Today, at the ICAO event, Prime Minister Briceno was asked to comment on whether the government felt the local aviation industry caters to the everyday man and woman and his plan to improve the sector, heavily reliant on tourism.

Briceno assumed the portfolio of Civil Aviation this year after the previous minister became embroiled in a sex scandal.
