PM Briceno Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for Auditorium in Mother’s Honor

Prime Minister John Briceno shared in a special groundbreaking ceremony held this afternoon in Orange Walk Town.  La Inmaculada RC School pioneered the idea of having an auditorium constructed in the name of Briceno’s mom, Felicita Briceno.  For the prime minister, he not only expressed gratitude for the gesture but also for the other teachers who have passed through the institution.  At the podium, Briceno recalled his days at La Inmaculada as some of the happiest days of his life. 

Felicita Briceno was an educator and is remembered as a humble woman who was respected in the community.  Principal at La Inmaculada, Lenny Umana, spoke on the honoring of Miss Felicita.

Felicita Briceno passed away at the age of 58 in 1995.
