Earlier this month we told of an invitation extended to El Salvador’s President, Nayib Bukele. Our newsroom asked the Prime Minister if he has received a response from El Salvador.
John Briceño, Prime Minister: “President Bukele has responded. He, as you know, he does not travel and so he said he would wish to come to Belize. He would love to come and visit Belize but unfortunately because of the work that he has to do at this moment, he can’t. He will not be able to come but his Vice President is going to come so El Salvador is going to be present for the joint CARICOM-SICA meetings. All of the Central American countries are going to be represented. Most of them their presidents are coming but where they can’t, their vice president is going to be here.”
