PM heads to Barbados for CARICOM Summit

Prime Minister John Briceño left the country today en route to Bridgetown, Barbados. Prime Minister Briceño will be joining his regional counterparts for the Eighth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community and the Republic of Cuba. That summit is slated for tomorrow. Then, on December 8 and 9, the Prime Minister will attend the 56th Ordinary Meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the Central American Integration System (SICA) in Santiago de Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The PM’s Office says that he will return on December 10 and in his absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum & Mining, Cordel Hyde is the acting Prime Minister.
