Police and Coast Guard seize high-power rifle and handgun in joint operation

A joint operation between the Police Department and the Coast Guard resulted in the seizure of a high-power rifle, a handgun, and illegal ammunition. Yesterday, the operation was carried out in the south, at Long Caye and resulted in the discovery of a bag that was stashed among mangroves. The bag contained an AK-47 assault rifle, along with an assortment of ammunition. At the time of the search, no one was in the area, and the items were taken into police custody and labeled as found property.
