Forty-two-year-old Richard McDonald, a tour guide of Hattieville Village, appeared today at the Benque Viejo Magistrate Court. He was arraigned on the charges of aiding and facilitating in committing an offense. This is in relation to nineteen illegal immigrants who were detained this past Sunday by police officers who were on mobile patrol in Bullet Tree Village. The group, most of whom are from El Salvador and Honduras, was traveling in a white Ford van which was being driven at the time by McDonald. Among the group were six minors, including a five-year-old girl. In court today, McDonald pled guilty to nineteen counts of the charge and was fined nineteen thousand dollars. The immigrants were fined a thousand dollars each. The magistrate ordered that they pay their fine by the end of the day or face jail time.
