Police Commissioner Braces for Backlash Amid Shake-up in Senior Ranks
With what seems to be an inevitable rumbling within the Police Department due to the shakeup among senior ranks, the Police Commissioner has said that he is ready for the backlash. Best information to Love News is that the Assistant Commissioners of Police are not too happy with being bypassed. The question is whether this upset could lead to poor performance.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police: “When it comes to the administration of the police department I do not make decisions based on friendships. I make decisions based on the greater good of the organization and I offer no apology for that because I believe that as a manager that is how you must operate. And in terms of your question about stress I don’t let nothing stress me out, not even you. When you are giving me hell I don’t let those things bother me. When you allow external factors to decide how your day is going to be or how you’re going to feel then you have surrendered your power to that external factor. I don’t surrender my power to nobody. So nothing stresses me out no.”
Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa also weighed in on the decision and stated that it was more of a matter for the Security Services Commission.
