Police Constable Juan Morales has made an apology to his fellow officers in the Police Department for the incident in Santa Familia Village that ended with BDF soldier Jesse Escobar being murdered. In the “San Ignacio Police Station” WhatsApp group, Morales wrote quote, “It was an unfortunate situation what happened in Santa Familia. I am really deeply regretful of my actions and sad that a person who I knew lost his life. I’m really sorry for the family and the little baby. Like a father, it really hurts because I am a parent also. It was never my intention to cause any harm to anyone. I was just trying to do my job.” (Unquote) Morales was the police officer who was with BDF soldiers *Raheem Valencio and Ramon Alcoser in Santa Familia when a confrontation between them and Escobar occurred. Escobar was shot and killed by Valencio who is claiming that it was accidental. In his apology, Morales says that the incident has opened his eyes and hopes that his fellow police officers learn from his mistakes. He says that from the bottom of his heart, he is “really sorry.” Morales and Alcoser were charged *Perverting the Course of Justice” while Valencio was charged with murder.
