Early this morning a vehicular collision occurred between miles 11 and 12 on the George Price Highway. Police arrived on the scene where they observed a grey and black Nissan Altima leaning against the road railing, and a Tow-head truck towing a fuel tanker, both bearing extensive damage to the left front portion. Ian Geban, a police corporal of the Mahogany Heights Police Station was identified and seen trapped inside the vehicle. Police say he had abrasions to the head and left arm and was complaining of pain in his left knee. Investigations revealed that the tow-head truck, driven by thirty-seven-year-old, Edgar Como, was travelling to Belmopan had a blowout on the left front tire causing the driver to lose control. The truck collided with the Grey and Black Nissan Altima that was coming in the opposite direction. Como did not sustain any injuries. Geban was escorted to the KHMH where he is being treated for his injuries.
