Police Honour Senior Officers at Farewell and Recognition Ceremony

The Belize Police Department hosted a farewell and recognition event to honour two senior officers for their years of dedicated service and leadership within the force.  Inspector of Police Edgar Tapia was formally recognised for his longstanding commitment and contributions to the Department. The ceremony brought together Regional Commander for the Eastern Region Reymundo Reyes, Senior Superintendent, along with divisional and unit commanders, who reflected on Inspector Tapia’s career, leadership, and service to the organisation.  The event featured words of appreciation, reflections on memorable moments in policing, and well-wishes as Inspector Tapia prepares to embark on a new chapter following his service with the Department.  During the same ceremony, Juanito Cocom, Senior Superintendent, was also honoured for his valuable contribution as Commander of Division Two. Officers acknowledged his leadership and service as he transitions to another area of his policing career and prepares to assume new responsibilities at his next posting.
