Police Initiative Takes Students on Eye-Opening Tour of Belize Central Prison

Forty students were taken to the Belize Central Prison under an initiative led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Howell Gillett.  The tour of the facility aimed to be an eye-opening experience for the students.  According to Gillett, this trip will hopefully serve as a deterrent to a criminal life.

CEO of the Belize Central Prison, Virgilio Murillo spoke about the decline in teen inmates over the past three years. The prison visit initiative started in 2018.
